چکیده

Correction of nonlinear and frequency dependent distortion in a 3.3 GHz, 16-element digital phased array is demonstrated using the memory polynomial model from [4] and a weighted least-squares approach. Practical results are given, showing that a single solution of the system can correct distortion from data sets across the whole operational bandwidth of the array. Subsequent analysis of performance and expectations for future work are discussed as well.

The Signal and Noise Analysis of Direct Conversion EHM Transceivers

A direct conversion modulator-demodulator with even harmonic mixers with emphasis on noise analysis is presented. The circuits consist of even harmonic mixers (EHMs) realized with antiparallel diode pairs (APDPs). We evaluate the different levels of I/Q imbalances and DC offsets and use signal space concepts to analyze the bit error rate (BER) of the proposed transceiver using M-ary QAM schemes...

An Augmented Nonlinear Complex LMS for Digital Self-Interference Cancellation in Full-Duplex Direct-Conversion Transceivers

In future full-duplex communications, the cancellation of self-interference (SI) arising from hardware nonidealities, will play an important role in the design of mobilescale devices. To this end, we introduce an optimal digital SI cancellation solution for shared-antenna-based direct-conversion transceivers (DCTs). To establish that the underlying widely linear signal model is not adequate for...

The Comparative Effect of Direct-only Correction and Direct Metalinguistic Correction on the Improvement of EFL Learners’ Writing Ability

This study aimed at comparing the impact of two types of teacher feedback on Iranian EFL learners’ writing ability and their verb tense consistency in L2 writing. Following the administration of a standardized language proficiency test (Preliminary English Test), sixty-two participants were selected and were randomly assigned to the control (direct-only correction) and experimental (direct meta...

Frequency domain analysis of transient flow in pipelines; application of the genetic programming to reduce the linearization errors

The transient flow analyzing by the frequency domain method (FDM) is computationally much faster than the method of characteristic (MOC) in the time domain. FDM needs no discretization in time and space, but requires the linearization of governing equations and boundary conditions. Hence, the FDM is only valid for small perturbations in which the system’s hydraulics is almost linear. In this st...

Determining Frequency of Prescription, Administration and Transcription Errors in Internal Intensive Care Unit of Shahid Faghihi Hospital in Shiraz with Direct Observation Approach

Medication errors (MEs) are the most common error in ICUs. In fact, 78% of all serious errors in ICUs are due to MEs. Therefore, detecting MEs has vital significance. The goal of this study was to investigate the frequency, type and consequences of different types of errors including prescribing, transcribing and administration errors in an ICU of a large teaching hospital. Disguised direc...
